The top prize a radio program called “Take It or Leave It” came from correctly answering “The $64 Question.”  Transferred to television, it became “The $64,000 Question” and debuted on this day in 1955. Here host Hal March (right) talks with Randolph Churchill, son of Sir Winston. The program was cancelled in the wake of the quiz show scandals of the late 1950s.
